Turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus ssp gracilis Synonyms- Turbinicarpus gracilis, Turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus ssp gracilis, Neolloydia schmiedickeanus ssp gracilis, Pediocactus schmiedickeanus v gracilis. Description- Body- Solitary globular depressed, 30mm high 30-40mm wide grey-green. Root- Taproot. Tubercles- Round. Spines- Radials- None. Centrals- 1-3 thin papery grey with brown tip, 15-20mm long. Flowers- Apical funnel shaped ivory with magenta midstripe 25mm wide. Fruits- Green-brown. Distribution- Aramberri in the state of Nuevo Leon (Mexico). Altitude 1200-1300m. Notes- This species is easy to cultivate but care with watering to avoid abnormal growth. |
