Turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus ssp klinkerianus Synonyms- Turbinicarpus klinkerianus, Strombocactus klinkerianus, Toumeya klinkeriana, Toumeya schmiedickeana var klinkeriana, Strombocactus schmiedickeanus var klinkerianus, Neolloydia schmiedickeana var klinkeriana, Pediocactus schmiedickeanus var klinkerianus. Description- Body- Solitary globular depressed, 30mm high 30-40mm wide pale grey to greenish-brown. Root- Taproot. Tubercles- Pyramidal, rhomboid at the base. Spines- Radials- None. Centrals- 2-3 very papery 5-25mm long. Flowers- Apical funnel shaped ivory with brown midstripe 25mm wide. Fruits- Green-brown. Distribution- Guadalcazar in the state of San Lois Potosi (Mexico). Altitude 1150-2250m. Notes- This species is easy to cultivate. Requires full sun and careful watering to keep plant compact. |
