Turbinicarpus pseudomacrochele ssp pseudomacrochele Synonyms- Pediocactus pseudomacrochele, Neolloydia pseudomacrochele, Toumeya pseudomacrochele, Strombocactus pseudomacrochele, Description- Body- Solitary occasionally clustering , globular depressed, wide pale green. Root- Taproot. Tubercles- Low and rounded conical 3-5mm long. Spines- Radials- 6-10 grey-brown becoming greyish mostly erect bristly and twisted 20mm long. Centrals- None. Flowers- White with rose coloured midveins 25mm long, 35mm wide. Fruits- Brown-magenta. Distribution- Found in the states of Queretaro, Hidalgo (Mexico). Notes- This species is fairly robust, fast and fairly easy to grow. Requires full sun and careful watering to keep plant compact. |
