Synonyms- Turbinicarpus dickisoniae, Turbinicarpus gracilis ssp dickisoniae,

                  Neolloydia schmiedickeanus ssp dickisoniae, Pediocactus schmiedickeanus v dickisoniae.


Description-

   Body- Solitary globular depressed, 30mm high 30-40mm wide grey-green.

   Root- Taproot.

   Tubercles- Pyramidal, elongated.

   Spines- Radials- 18-24 rigid white 2mm long.

               Centrals- 1-3 semi-rigid curved slightly inward grey-black, 15mm long.

   Flowers- Apical funnel shaped white-yellow with brown midstripe 20mm wide.

   Fruits- Brown.


Distribution- Aramberri in the state of Nuevo Leon (Mexico). Altitude 1200m.


Notes-

This species is easy to cultivate but slow growing. Requires full sun and careful watering to keep plant compact. This plant is easily distinguished from any other species from its spinal arrangement.
