Turbinicarpus pseudomacrochele ssp krainzianus Synonyms- Pediocactus pseudomacrochele ssp krainzianus, Neolloydia krainziana. Description- Body- Solitary occasionally clustering , globular cylindrical, 20-40mm high 25-35mm wide darker green to greenish-blue. Root- Taproot. Tubercles- Low and rounded conical 3-5mm long. Spines- Radials- 3-5 yellowish-brown becoming greyish mostly erect bristly and twisted 15-30mm long. Centrals- None. Flowers- Yellowish-green to magenta 25mm long, 20mm wide. Fruits- Green almost round 4-6mm diameter. Distribution- Can be found in the states of Queretaro Hidalgo (Mexico). Notes- This species is fairly robust, fast and fairly easy to grow. Requires full sun and careful watering to keep plant compact. |
